The Hour You Need In Your Timeline!

We’re talking about the one, the only - golden hour! Here’s what you need to remember about this magical backdrop for stunning imagery.

Soft | Glowy | Romantic

It doesn’t matter where your wedding is - country, city, by the water or surrounded by trees - the light at golden hour sets an atmosphere for soft and romantic photos.

When you are going through your timeline with your photographer, be sure to set aside 30-60 minutes at golden hour, to step outside and capture the day in the glow of the setting sun.

An Intimate Intermission

From the time you start getting ready in the morning, to when your feet step off the dance floor at the end of the night, your day has been filled to the brim!

Golden hour is the perfect time to step away, just the two of you (and me!) to celebrate. It’s that * Holy Shit! We really did it!* moment after the more formal ceremony is complete, and before you’re ready to let loose and party. Get goofy, have fun with each other and let me capture you in love!

The Money Shot!

Your wedding album will be filled with photos of you and your love, the venue, and all of the little moments in between. They’ll tell the story of your spectacular day.

It will also include photos, that in the photography world, we describe as ‘money shots’. The ones that leave you, and everyone else that sees them, blown away. While these photos can be captured throughout the whole day, golden hour lends it’s diffused light and soft shadows for a glow like no other!

These money shots print and display beautifully. Whether you choose to keep them in colour, or opt for a timeless black and white image, golden hour photos are a gorgeous statement from your wedding.
